Two Years And Counting…

day-to-day. habitation. stylin. wandering.

People.  It’s been over two years since we moved to San Diego!  TWO YEARS!  I can’t even… time just races by and doesn’t even stop long enough for us to wave hello before it’s gone.  Even still, I feel so fortunate for our time here.  Some of the most momentous occasions have happened in this city and though it isn’t always smooth sailing, moving was hands-down the best decision we’ve made to date.  We’ve made memories, friends, and a home here.  We got engaged and married here.  Our family and friends have a place to stay when they visit here.  We’ve found new adventures here, new favorite restaurants, favorite watering holes, favorite hikes, favorite drives.  And we’re still going strong.  Hoping to add “purchasing our first house” to this list in the next year!

Maybe it’s the sunshine and the always eminent “beach day,” but I’ve also taken more time to focus on my health here.  Not just to lose weight, but to sincerely become healthier.  As you age you realize you’re not invincible and that it takes a conscious effort to ensure your body lasts as long as you’re planning!  Hence my recent “healthy foods” posts.  You’ll see lots of those as I’m continuously looking for new ways to make the foods that are good for me interesting and enticing.  Being healthy is a choice, though not an easy one.  You better believe there will still be burgers, pizza, pasta, etc.  Just not as often 🙂

Some recent loves from the past few months~

And because it’s now officially football season, a little throwback to the Seahawks-Niners game in SF last December.  Sporting our Hawks gear all day.  GO HAWKS.
