It’s official – – my brother is a married man and I have a new sister-in-law! The two were married this past weekend in a beautiful, very personal ceremony in El Segundo, CA, followed by a spectacular reception at the Smogshoppe in Los Angeles. With two hired photographers, and a good portion of my Filipino family present, there were plenty of cameras capturing this day. Unfortunately, mine wasn’t one of them. In my rush to leave our place on Friday morning, I left it behind. Major fail. But here are a couple photos from my trusty iPhone.
If you couldn’t already tell, these two definitely have their own unique, creative style. Hence the original logo (in the photo above) they created themselves for this special day. Brian and Rachel were very hands-on during the entire wedding process – – literally. These two designed their invitations, made all of their center pieces and decor, and created the musical playlists for the ceremony and reception. To say these two are amazing would be an understatement. They definitely made their wedding a complete reflection of themselves, and it was an honor to be a part of it.
After the reception, we stayed the night at The Culver Hotel in Culver City, CA. Built in 1924 and renovated in 1997, this hotel is decorated with a vintage feel and has a laid-back vibe. From the wallpaper in the lobby entrance to the towel presentation in the guest bathrooms, you can tell someone thought about every detail in the place. I loved it and can’t wait for another reason to visit!
Here’s a photo of the hotel exterior and a few of my own~
